If the cash back has already been issued by Synchrony to your Sam’s Cash account, then the deduction of the Sam’s Cash will be within your credit card account at Synchrony, and it will not deduct from your Sam’s Cash account until the following cycle. In these circumstances you may see a negative balance on either your Membership Dashboard or Synchrony account if the return takes place after the reward was issued as Sam’s Cash or was spent.

This will become positive again once you earn more Sam’s Cash to clear the negative balance. Can I return a SNAP eligible item purchased with Sam’s Cash and SNAP benefits? Yes, members may return SNAP eligible items purchased with Sam’s Cash and SNAP benefits.

The amount of the item originally purchased with SNAP benefits must be returned to your EBT card and Sam’s Cash will be refunded to your balance or via a Sam’s Club gift card. Can you use digital card at Sam’s Gas?

Sam’s Club is bringing its Scan & Go mobile payment service to the gas pump. The Walmart warehouse club chain on Thursday unveiled Scan & Go Fuel, a new capability within the Sam’s Club mobile app that provides a contactless, pay-at-the-pump experience.

• Sam’s Club said that this month it’s rolling out Scan & Go Fuel to more than 70 locations around the country, following a small-scale pilot earlier this year.
• Plans call for the retailer to deploy the solution at all of its 518 fuel stations by the end of the year.
• We launched Scan & Go technology inside our clubs in 2016, and we’ve seen its popularity continue to increase, particularly during the pandemic.

Our member adoption rate has doubled since this time last year, and we don’t see that slowing down, especially as our members continue to crave quick and safe shopping experiences,” Sam’s Club executives Eddie Garcia, senior vice president and chief product officer, and Vinod Bidarkoppa, senior vice president of technology, said in a blog post, “Scan & Go removes another point of friction for our members,” Sam’s Club senior VPs Eddie Garcia and Vinod Bidarkoppa said. To use Scan & Go Fuel, members open the Sam’s Club app on their smartphone (or download the app first if they don’t have it), and click on the Scan & Go icon.

Next, they scan the QR code at the gas pump, select their method of payment in the app and then start fueling. After completing their fill-up, they drive away. A digital receipt is sent via email. The app-based experience at the pump “brings together contactless payments, speed and low prices,” according to Garcia and Bidarkoppa.

“No more shuffling for your Sam’s Club membership card, credit cards or cash,” they said. “Scan & Go removes another point of friction for our members by allowing secure purchases and eliminating paper receipts with the ease and convenience of the Sam’s Club app.” Sam’s Club operates 597 wholesale club locations overall.

Wait, undercharged? Is that a politically correct way to say they want to make sure you’re not stealing something? Yes and no. Both Costco and Sam’s Club have said they’re not trying to catch shoplifters. They have loss-prevention people who roam the store to monitor for that.

• With the volume of business these stores do in a day, and the rate at which cashiers work, it’s no surprise they might skip an item, or accidentally scan something more than once.

A former Costco employee wrote in a now-archived Reddit forum that, “If a receipt shows under 20 items, we count. It’s a very quick count to 20. Most people who work at the exit are actually counting your cart before you even hand the receipt over.
